Hello students, please remember that your rough draft 5 paragraph essays for Shirley Jackson's, "The Lottery" are due Tuesday September 16, 2014. An in class check of the essay will occur on this particular date, as well as an in class
*Students who wish to type their drafts are allowed to do so, but it is not a requirement. Remember, this essay is a class practice in learning how to synthesize and format an essay. Think of the activity as placing training wheels on one's writing process. You will receive essay credit for participating and completing the essay completely as well as on time. Our next essay analysis will be one where the picking apart and deconstruction of your writing will occur.
